Welding Foreman
This position is responsible for Supervision of technical support, troubleshooting and repair of all Plant welding and assembly equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Identifying and troubleshooting production problems
- Maintaining production lines and performing predictive and preventive maintenance
- Comply with Good Manufacturing Practices
- Comply with all safety policies and procedures
- Comply with all quality system procedures
- Ability to understand, record and communicate system problems and solutions
- Demonstrate good attendance
- Developing welding techniques and procedures for welding operations
- Ensures the welders are producing to print specifications, challenging new assemblies, periodic quality checks
- Must be able to lift, twist, bend, squat, climb, stand, walk continuously in close, confined surroundings
- Trains workers in operation of equipment
- Performs other duties as described
Qualifications:
- A sound understanding of welding fundamentals and theory
- Can troubleshoot, repair and program resistance and MIG welding equipment
- Perform basic machining
- Complete required logs and repair documentation
- Knowledge of safety lockout
- Work independently
- Must follow Department Managers directions
- Minimum 5 y ears experience in manufacturing and welding maintenance
Some of the different types of machinery and materials used are as follows :
- Mig and Tig welding equipment.
- Mechanical power sheer.
- Hydraulic press break.
- Horizontal and vertical band saws.
- Welding and forming 20ga – 12ga 316 stainless steel.
- Welding and forming 1/16” – ¼” aluminum.
