Structural Steel Estimator (Toledo, OH)
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- The following duties are considered normal for this position. Other duties may be performed as necessary or assigned.
- Prepare bid packages for structural and miscellaneous steel projects.
- Prepare conceptual estimates for structural steel design build/design assist projects.
- Review all bid documents, plans, specifications, schedules, and bid forms, and prepare detailed take-offs.
- Obtain subcontractor proposals best suited for the project.
- Prepare written proposals in compliance with the bid documents.
- Perform post bid follow up and negotiations.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 3-5 years industry experience in Structural and Miscellaneous Steel Estimating desired
- The ability to read and interpret design drawings, blue prints, specifications and bid documents
- An understanding of fabrication and erection processes, AISC standards, and AWS codes.
- Strong math skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks of high priority, while meeting deadlines
- Ability to interact professionally, effectively, and positively with managers, co-workers, subcontractors, and customers
This individual will work with CAD Applications, Fabtrol, Microsoft Office, and Tekla.

Expected Schedule:
- Full-time
- Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
