Happy Monday and happy National Mom and Pop Business Owner’s Day! Time to celebrate those hard working individuals who keep their business afloat with their own hands, especially during this hard year of the pandemic. 

Three cheers to you on this national holiday as we all celebrate all the hard work you put in on this special day built just for you! We all know the struggles of a small business and can appreciate the personalization and support that each one brings. You have helped to bring our community together and give people experiences like no other, thank you!

 

Did you know that “there are over 28 million small businesses in the United States”? Also known as, Mom and Pop shops. These stores, restaurants, boutiques, and more are ones that contain so much quality, memories, and unique touches that you cannot find anywhere else. 

Celebrate today accordingly by supporting your fellow mom and pop shops, purchasing even one small item can make a big difference in their lives and excite them. That feeling of selling your own item is one like no other. 

 

Facts about these hardworking individuals and today:

  • 70% of small businesses are operated by a single individual
  • Small businesses account for 99.7% of US employer firms
  • Small businesses pay almost half of US employee payroll
  • There are over 28 million small businesses in the US

 

Help make a difference in someone’s life. Stop by a small business today in support of this national holiday and all the hard work they put in. Here are some ways to support this holiday:

  • Buy something at a local store or restaurant, even if it is small
  • Spread the word using the hashtag #NationalMomAndPopBusinessOwnerDay or simply by discussing about it with some friends or family
  • Write a small business owner a thank you note for the service they provide

However you choose to celebrate, be grateful for all the hard work it takes an individual to not only start a small business but to keep it running. These are our own community members, and this day is well-deserved!
