Electronics Quality Inspector Needed in Millbury, OH

Job Description:

Inspect products for accurate, consistent, component placement and solder joints. Correct past and overall board quality. Use magnification aids and stereo microscopes, inspect populated printed circuit boards, and identify component and solder defect to IPC standards. Set-up, build and test and inspect electrical assemblies and sub-assemblies as directed. Work may include prototype, development, and production, rework, returned materials, testing or repair. Complete inspection documentation, and traveler cards.

Frequently sample board assemblies to ensure quality, reduce reworks and work toward continuous improvement. Work with operators to troubleshoot repeat defects.

Requirements:

  • 2 years of equivalent technical experience and/or military technical training
  • Strong analytical & problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Read, interpret and apply blueprint/drawing specifications
  • Professional, clear verbal, written communication, and documentation skills
  • Working knowledge of statistical process control methods
  • Set-up, build, test, and inspect electrical assemblies and sub-assemblies as directed
  • Min 1 year of prior inspection experience
  • Must be IPC inspection certified or willingness to be trained
  • Must have experience, and dexterity, using hand tools such as soldering irons, hand crimpers, screwdrivers, wrenches, and pliers.
  • Computer literate with experience with Microsoft Office applications. Experience with MRP and testing software is preferred.
  • Reliable transportation
  • Ability to work independently

Physical Requirements:

  • Able to Move between workstations
  • Able to stand or sit for long periods
  • Able to lift or team left up to 25lbs

$13-14/hr depending on experience
