It’s National Coffee Cake Day!
Did you know that coffee cake is indeed NOT made with coffee? Instead, it has that confusing name, because it is made to enjoy alongside a warm cup of coffee!

The origins of coffee cake are unknown but the Dutch and Germans in New York, New Jersey, and Delaware became famous for their coffee cakes as their recipes resembled those of the colonial times.
