Summary: The primary function and responsibility of the Launch Coordinator is to assure the plant is prepared to launch new process, mid cycle enhancement or another major project as identified by the Plant Manager.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for leading automotive masking process launch activities. Must be familiar with automotive paint prep processes and process requirements.
• Responsible for communicating project milestones and tactical plans for each phase of Launch.
• Responsible for interface with Plant Management to assure all Phase requirements are completed by the automotive Masking team and provided in the proper formats to the plants through participation in team meetings and email communication.
• Responsible for coordinating the activities of the Masking Process Launch to assure plant systems, equipment, training, and materials are available on time and in compliance with the customer requirements for the project.
• Responsible for designing the Masking Process, by working with the internal Quality team and the Customer. Responsible for standardizing process training, standard operating procedures, and supporting work instructions.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Industrial or Mechanical Engineering) preferred.
• Previous experience as a project lead in an automotive environment.
• Proven technical leadership skills and ability to develop plans to accomplish launch objectives.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
• Ability to network with other plant launch managers to share best practices and benchmarking.
• Strong communication, presentation and teamwork skills including the ability to write clear, concise technical documentation.
• The ability to break down problems and gain understanding to make effective decisions.
• Must have strong Word, PowerPoint and Excel (spreadsheet) computer knowledge

Salary: $18.00 to $24.00 /year
