Assembly

Position Overview The Assemblers duties and responsibilities include light manufacturing, preparation of parts, soldering, and mechanical assembly. The assembler must possess a positive attitude, be a team player, and work in a high paced environment. In addition, Efficiency and Quality must be instilled with all work that is performed.

Responsibilities Essential Functions

  • Read and interpret work instructions, diagrams, work orders, or reports to determine materials requirements and/or assembly instructions.
  • Install components, subassemblies, wiring, or assembly casings, using rivets, bolts, and soldering
  • Adjust, repair, or replace parts to correct defects and to ensure conformance to specifications.
  • Position, align, or adjust work parts to facilitate wiring or assembly.
  • Explain assembly procedures or techniques to other workers.
  • Clean parts, using cleaning solutions, air hoses, and cloths.
  • Fabricate or form parts according to specifications
  • Confer with supervisors to plan or review work activities or to resolve production problems.
  • Inspect or test assemblies for operation and record results.

Qualifications and Experience

Minimum – high school diploma

  • Reading Comprehension — Understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents.

  • Finger Dexterity — The ability to make precisely coordinated movements of the fingers of one or both hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble very small objects.

  • Oral Expression — The ability to communicate information and ideas in speaking so others will understand.
  • Visualization — The ability to imagine how something will look after it is moved around or when its parts are moved or rearranged.

=        Wage Rate

  • Wage starting at $10.50/hour or higher dependent on work experience
